Elie Wiesel Remembered As ‘One Of The Great Moral Voices Of Our Time’

Weisel was the recipient of many awards and honors (and more than a hundred honorary doctorates), including the U.S. Presidential Medal of Freedom and Israel’s Presidential Medal of Honor, and was knighted as Commander of the Order of the British Empire.

Wiesel is survived by his wife, son, stepdaughter, and two grandchildren.
