A rocket was launched Thursday from the Gaza Strip at the Hof Ashkelon Regional Council in Israel. The red alarm was not activated since the rocket was going to land in an open area. No injuries or damage were reported.

The IDF responded with an attack on an observation post of Hamas in northern Gaza.

The IDF Spokesperson stated that the IDF attack was carried out in response to the rocket fired at Israeli territory.

“We consider the Hamas terrorist organization solely responsible for whatever is happening in and out of the Gaza Strip,” the official IDF statement said.
