The Israeli Air Force attacked terrorist targets belonging to Hamas in the southern Gaza Strip on Friday night, in response to a high-trajectory rocket fired at the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council, according to the IDF spokesman.

Two different targets were attacked at the site, which serves as a Hamas military compound. A red alert was activated during the Israeli Air force attack, but there was no identification of a high trajectory rocket being fired at Israel’s territory. The IDF spokesman said the matter was under investigation.

“The IDF considers the Hamas terrorist organization solely responsible for what is happening in and out of the Gaza Strip,” the IDF spokesman said.
