Under Israel Security Agency and police interrogation, they discovered that Ahmed Abid was recruited to the Hamas organization in 2013.

During his time in Hamas he underwent military training in engineering, sniping and anti-tank weaponry.

It was further revealed that he took part in digging tunnels near where he lived and was a part of Hamas’s border guards.

Extensive information about the Hamas’s tunnel structure in the Gaza Strip was revealed during his interrogation — on tunnels designed for offensive attacks within Israel, and tunnels for fighting IDF forces inside the Gaza Strip.

Ahmed Abid’s interrogation unveiled once again Hamas’s terror tunnel activity designed to promote terrorism against the state of Israel.

On October 23, 2017, an indictment was filed at the Be’er Sheva District Court against Abid.
