Israeli students in the Gaza Belt region have a day off from school on Monday, in accordance with a directive from IDF Home Front Command.

Schools are being ordered to remain closed in Israeli communities located in the areas along the Gaza border in light of the escalation in the south on Sunday night, said Home Front Command.

At least 10 rockets fired by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists in Gaza were identified as having reached Israeli territory between 10:30 pm and midnight Sunday night.

One of the rockets was found to have exploded in an open field. Two others were intercepted by the Iron Dome anti-missile defense system.
