A projectile was fired by Gaza terrorists late Thursday afternoon, landing just seconds later near a cow shed in an Eshkol Regional Council district area community.

“It landed outside the community,” said a spokesperson for the community. “There was no damage to the cow shed.”

The attack came shortly after a clash between terrorists and IDF soldiers at the southern border with Gaza.

It triggered Code Red incoming rocket sirens in at least a dozen communities in the Eshkol Regional Council district, central Negev and Gaza Belt regions, once again disrupting the lives of hundreds of Israelis and sending men and women and children racing for safe spaces.

About 90 minutes prior, Hamas terrorists launched mortar shells at Israeli soldiers operating near the security fence in southern Gaza, allegedly in response to an IDF attack a couple of hours earlier on an arson terror squad in the enclave. The Israeli UAV attack killed the Hamas squad leader and wounded three other squad members as they were preparing more incendiary devices and balloons to be flown into Israel.

No injuries to IDF soldiers were reported.

In response, an IDF tank shelled a Hamas observation post located east of the southern Gaza border city of Rafah, according to a military spokesperson.
