Palestinian Authority Still Teaching Kids to Hate Israel

Posted on: September 4th, 2012

NewsEye on Palestine

According to Dr. Eldad Pardo, a senior researcher at IMPACT-SE, (Institute for Monitoring Peace and Cultural Tolerance in School Education) and a teacher at Hebrew University of Jerusalem, hateful language against Israel is characteristic of the themes taught in Palestinian Authority school textbooks. “Jewish holy places in Israel are not recognized. They are presented as Muslim holy sites taken over by Jews. There is no recognition of Jewish people as a nation. Israelis are depicted as criminals and thieves.”

Egyptian Army Claiming Success in the Sinai, But Most Terrorists Are Still Roaming Free

Posted on: September 3rd, 2012

NewsEgypt

The Egyptian army has slowed down its all-out attack on terrorist enclaves in the Sinai, several weeks after its initial, aggressive spurt on August 5. The terrorist culprits who murdered 15 Egyptian Border Guards remain at large, and the lack of progress appears rooted in political uncertainty back in Cairo. Here's one unexpected aspect of what was touted as a jihad against the murderers: the Egyptian government is going through unofficial channels, employing negotiators to talk to the Sinai terrorists. This has enraged the secular law and order types at home.

“Rav Ovadia Yosef is not what the newspapers make him out to be. Rav Ovadia uses his influence on the Israeli public and also on the Israeli government,” Rabbi Fruman told the Palestinian officials. Abbas addressed the Iranian threat against Israel, and, surprisingly, expressed his objection to permitting Iran to possess a nuclear bomb, thus dragging the entire region into great danger.

FM Liberman Says Israeli Policy Needs a New Focus: ‘Abbas Must Go’

Posted on: August 23rd, 2012

NewsEye on Palestine

Israel’s problem with the Palestinians is that it has not established a clear strategy, or any strategy at all for that matter, regarding its most intimate neighbors, "and that is why we are not leading any course of action except merely responding," argued on Thursday Israel Beitenu leader and Israel's Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman.

Palestinian Economy in Downfall Born by ‘Reluctance’ to Accept Israel

A cash crunch due to a severe drop in foreign aid since 2011 may be ushering in business failures and layoffs in the area under Palestinian Authority rule, leading to the worst crisis in the PA's 18-year existence. It appears that the Palestinian Authority will not survive this crisis without a major infusion of cash. But the PA owes too much already and can no longer borrow money to fill its gaping deficits.

Report: Al-Qaeda Planning Massive Terror Attack on Israeli Plane

Posted on: August 17th, 2012

NewsEye on Palestine

Recently there has been an increase in the warnings within the security system about possible attacks against civilian and foreign flights by terrorists affiliated with Al-Qaeda and other groups, who are working on such an attack. These efforts correspond to a promise made last year by Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah, on his plan to avenge Israel's assassination of the head of his organization's military wing, Imad Mughniyah, and Israel's elimination of nuclear scientists in Iran.

Terrorists Kill 15 Egyptian Soldiers, Launch Rockets on Israel, Attempt to Infiltrate Border After Targeted Killing – Regional Activist Says it is “No Surprise”

Posted on: August 5th, 2012

NewsEye on Palestine

A serious attempt by Gaza terrorists to breach the Israeli border, and the launch of dozens of rockets and mortar shells on the Eshkol Regional Council in southern Israel on Sunday evening, has led to exchanges of fire on the Israeli border, the slaughter of 15 Egyptian soldiers by Gaza terrorists, and warnings to residents of Kibbutz Kerem Shalom to remain in shelters and lock their doors for safety reasons. Despite fear and concerns for security, a long-time activist for the western Negev region said the attacks come as “no surprise” to residents of the region.
