Egyptian authorities Sunday said they would open the Rafiah border crossing between Sinai and the Gaza Strip for a week, in order to allow Palestinian casualties to be evacuated from the Gaza Strip. Opening the border crossing to Egypt has been one of Hamas’ main objectives throughout the current round of fighting.
