Palestinian Media Watch reported that Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah movement has admitted that the reconciliation agreement with Hamas is “as an opportunity to establish a united front to fight Israel.”  Writing in response to a Facebook question posed by, Ofir Gendelman, a spokesperson for Prime Minister Netanyahu – the post included a cartoon of Hamas and Fatah fighters smiling, shaking hands and aiming rifles at an Israeli soldier –  Gendelman asked in Arabic whether Mahmoud Abbas sees the reconciliation agreement as a means to unite with Hamas to fight Israel.

“Yes, this is what we want,” was the reply.
