At some point the operation began to look like a scene from a Hollywood movie about special forces. According to the intelligence, the 19-year-old suspect was in a vehicle, apparently continuing his escape route with no intention of giving himself up.

The SWAT unit was secretly dispatched to the scene in the evening hours, and the fighters stopped the vehicle which was on the move. With weapons drawn, the force pulled the terrorist out of the vehicle, along with two others – his relatives.

According to sources involved in the event, the arrest was carried out without resistance. The terrorist and his accomplices did not speak, only raised their hands in surrender and were taken away immediately.

At this point, the stabbing suspect is being interrogated by the Shin Bet, which seeks to understand the role of his relatives in the escape.

Meanwhile, Kan, Israel’s Public Broadcasting Corporation, reported that the condition of the stabbed soldier has been downgraded to light.
