One Response to “Understanding the Arab Israeli Peace Talks”

  1. Larinthian says:

Reaching an agreement between Israel and the Palestinians will take a different approach in order for their to be success, First, the Palestinians must recognize Israel as a Jewish state with all of their rights fully intact. Giving up land, settlement freezes, and abandoning security check points must be off the table because Israel has tried this in the past and it not only failed but made matters worse for Israel. The U.S. and international community must stop putting all the pressure on Israel to make unfair concessions, while asking nothing of the Palestinians. Terrorist acts must cease against Israel.  In other words, “peace talks” have not and will not succeed until the Palestinians demonstrate they want peace. So far, the willingness to make concessions have been made by Israel alone ad until that changes, there can be no realistic hope to achieve peace.
