A bomb decoy was discovered on Jerusalem’s light rail Monday morning, the second time in a week that a fake device was planted on the popular commuter route.

The object consisted of a box with wires inside a bag.  Jerusalem’s elite bomb squad was called in to investigate, causing a postponement of train service.

Police say the “bombs” are intended to frighten Jerusalemites, and encouraged citizens to maintain vigilance, reporting any suspicious objects to authorities.
