Six red swastikas were painted Friday in various neighborhoods in the southwest section of the city of Edmonton, Canada.
Police were deployed to three homes in the Lessard neighborhood, where they discovered swastikas painted on a residential driveway. A home nearby had “780” painted on the back fence, with another painted on the back fence of a second nearby home.

A swastika also appeared on a bus stop, and on a school basketball court, in addition to “racist and homophobic words written on public property,” according to CTV.
Police said it was believed the vandalism took place early last Thursday. The Hate Crimes Unit is working on the case.
