A plane belonging to a German company hit the tail of an El Al plane waiting for takeoff at Ben-Gurion Airport. There were no casualties, but damage was caused to both aircraft. All the passengers on the El Al flight that was about to take off for Rome were taken off the plane.

An Israel Airports Authority spokesperson said that the plane owned by Germanwings was being towed back from a parking position when it hit the tail of an El Al plane. The passengers were taken off the planes using mobile stairs.

According to passengers who spoke to Israel’s Channel 2 News, the German plane sustained the worst damage on impact.
