Netanyahu said that BDS movement leaders are part of a new international front that seeks to put an end to the Jewish state by employing economic warfare. He urged American Jewish leaders to expose and confront them.

“Having failed to dislodge us with weapons, with armies, with terrorists, with rockets, with missiles, they [BDS supporters] now think that they’ll dislodge us with boycotts. And that’s nothing new,” he said. “…I think the most eerie thing, the most disgraceful thing is to have people on the soil of Europe talking about the boycott of Jews. I think that’s an outrage, but that is something that we’re re-encountering. In the past, anti-Semites boycotted Jewish businesses and today they call for the boycott of the Jewish state. And by the way, only the Jewish state….

Netanyahu suggested that the most effective way to counter the BDS movement is twofold. He said that Israel must condemn movement supporters on moral grounds while continuing its success as an international technological innovator.
