Israel’s Security Cabinet on Sunday adopted the recommendations of its National Security Council on measures to deal with the nation’s defense against threats presented by hostile unmanned aerial vehicles.

The Israel Defense Forces and the Israel Air Force has been assigned to tracking and dealing with threats from drones that appear near Israel’s borders and in Judea and Samaria.

The IDF and IAF will also be responsible for developing technology to counter threats from military drones.

The Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) intelligence agency has been tasked with addressing the threat from drones flying near sensitive installations within Israel.

Israel Police will deal with drones that are found to be flying anywhere else in the country.
