Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte landed at Ben Gurion International Airport Sunday evening for a three-day visit to the country, the first ever by a president from the island nation in more than 60 years.
Duterte’s itinerary includes meetings with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Reuven Rivlin as well as a visit to the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Center.

He will also meet with senior Israeli defense, trade and diplomatic officials to discuss bilateral ties, an increase in arms purchases and other trade, as well as the conditions for the tens of thousands of Filipino workers who are currently employed in Israel.
