In response to the mortar fire that hit the Israeli side of the Golan on Saturday multiple times, on Saturday afternoon the IDF launched a “Tammuz” missile at at least one of the Syrian military positions that launched the mortars.

The missile hit the position and took out a Syrian’s mortar cannon. It’s unknown if any Syrian soldiers were hit in the retaliatory strike.

The Tammuz guided missile has a range of 25 kilometers, can track a target independently, and can penetrate the armor of any tank. Each missile costs half a million shekels.

  1. Chaiya Eitan says:

    Good job!

  2. Alan Kardon says:

Immediate response should be enough. Suggest any further rockets into Israel be dealt with swiftly and powerfully. Good job IDF.

  3. israel looking for war, start the evil off.

  4. One and only possible response!

  5. One for one is the best response.

  6. Yochanan Efráyim Hernandez says:

Outstanding. They strike at us, let's strike back harder.

  7. Jeffrey Blankfort says:

These rockets from Syria did not hit Israel. They hit the Israeli occupied Golan Heights which were seized by Israel in 1967. To prevent the US knowing about Israel’s plans, the Israeli air force and navy attacked the USS Liberty the day before, killing 34 US sailors and wounding 171. Because as LBJ told Adm. Geiss of the US 6th Fleet whose jet fighters that he had sent to defend the Liberty were ordered to turn around, “We don’t want to embarrass an ally.” For that and not responding in kind to the Israeli attack, Johnson should have been impeached.

  8. Benjamin Fox says:

Good for you Israel, they shoot at you, Shoot back and harder.

  9. When will it all stop? I m pleased that Israel hits back, and fast. The problem is that Muslim's consider death as a reward. If we can get that perception changed, perhaps we can then seek a real peace.

  10. Joe Lehman says:

if you don't fight back, you might as well give –PLEASE DOn't EVER GIVE UP.

  11. Vic Sydney says:

Where do you get your informaton Jeffrey? Seriously I think you are on some trip! For a start, Israel took over the Golan Heights as a result of the Yom Kippur War of 1973. Israel did not need to attack the US so they didn’t know they were going to attack because Israel did not attack! Syria and Egypt led the war against Isreal. Israel defended herself in this war and won AGAIN.

  12. Betty Sines says:

Then give them all thier just rewards!

  13. Brian Hildebrand says:

Yeah, for sure. Israel wants war. Are you retarded?

  14. David Baden says:

Yes Brian,he probably is,so we will have to forgive him.

  15. Dennis White says:

It is right and proper that one should defend oneself and good for them, but if you look at the comments below, you will see that the problem only escalates and if you look at the Latest Poll below you will see that one of the problems is to ask Stupid Questions in a Poll.

  16. cosmodinowitz42 says:

An eye for an eye is not the way to do it. Israel, when you have a missile shot at you or whenever you are attacked in any other way, the correct response is at least FIVE to one, or really TEN to one will be even better. It is a waste of time to only fire back one time. Five or more.

  17. cosmodinowitz42 says:

The reason why the ship Liberty was attacked is because after Israel kept telling the ship to stop giving Egypt information regarding Israel’s positions in the battle. When the ship did not stop giving this information to Egypt, Israel had no choice but to shoot at the ship. If the US was an ally to Israel, why was the ship giving information to Egypt. At that time Egypt had only one objective. That was to join their fellow Arab countries in trying to wipe Israel off the map. ISRAEL DID NOT START THAT WAR.
