Israel’s General Security Service and Police have revealed on Monday that an Israeli Arab from the Lower Galilee was arrested in early March on suspicion of maintaining contacts with ISIS terrorists and moving funds from Israel to one of them, in Iraq or Syria.
Fadil Sabr Kinaana, 25, a resident of Yafa an-Naseriyye, a town that forms part of metropolitan Nazareth, had been in touch with his brother Mohammed Kinaana, who left for Syria illegally three years ago, joined ISIS and was killed in battle.
The suspect has also maintained contact with another Israeli citizen, Mohammed Kilani, who is currently fighting for ISIS in Iraq or Syria.
In early March, Kinaana responded to Kilani’s request and sent him money using the services of a money changer from Jenin, in Samaria.
