The terrorist climbed over the fence into the station itself, according to a report by Israeli journalist Or Heller at Channel 10 television news.

Three Border Guard Police officers and one Israel Police officer were taken to Shaare Zedek Medical Center, all of them with minor wounds, according to a hospital spokesperson. One officer, age 50, sustained wounds in the upper body; a second — age 30 — sustained a gunshot wound to the hand. The other two officers suffered from minor injuries.

The terrorist was neutralized by other police officers; he is reportedly in serious condition, sedated and unconscious., and is being treated in the trauma unit.

Security personnel have deployed in the neighborhoods of Jabel Mukaber and Armon Hanatziv to hunt for the person who helped the terrorist carry out the attack.

Police are also investigating to determine whether the attack took place at the entrance gate to the base, or whether he climbed the fence and infiltrated into the police station itself.
