U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry landed at Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport around 3 p.m. Thursday, bringing with him the usual traffic headache for motorists who are kept away from the Tel Aviv-Jerusalem highway while  his cavalcade takes him for a meeting with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. Kerry is scheduled to meet with Palestinian Authority […]

The Palestinian Authority opened up the propaganda taps Wednesday with charges that Israel and the “occupation forces” are “torturing” Arab children. The allegations were reported several hours before U.S. Secretary of State John Kelley landed in Israel. He previously has incited Arab violence by warning Israel that if it does not do as he says, […]

An injured Jewish boy is being hauled to the waiting bus by brutal Israeli policemen in the Samaria outpost Amona, Jan. 1, 2006. This deportation took place under the regime of Acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, who had just replaced the ailing Ariel Sharon, the architect of a much larger deportation of thousands of Jews from Gush Katif. Three days later, Sharon was felled by a massive stroke that left him in a vegetative state. Olmert himself and a very long list of officials involved in those expulsions were hit by tragedies, some minor, some major.

The essence of magic tricks is diverting the crowd's attention to one element, while at the same time manipulating another. Kerry believes he can do it with Israel, the Palestinians, a Republican House (soon to become a Republican Congress), the EU and public opinion. He might. All I'm saying is: keep your eye on the pen.
