Newly ordained rabbis, family and faculty at Machon Menachen graduation.

Machon Menachem-Boca Raton Rabbinical College ordained fourteen rabbis at a graduation ceremony held at Chabad of Boca Raton on Military Trail, Thursday, May 30.

The students, who came from as far as South Africa and England, spent the past year in an intensive and rigorous academic program. The graduates were tested throughout the year by principal Rabbi Berel Gurary and Rabbi Dovid Schochet, a senior member of the International Board of Chabad-Lubavitch Rabbis from Toronto who oversaw the curriculum and is the presiding ordaining rabbi.

Said the school’s dean, Rabbi Ruvi New, “Thanks in large part to the dedication and guidance of the principal, Rabbi Gurary, the college, now only in its second year, is quickly gaining a worldwide reputation as a first rate rabbinical college, with applications for the coming year already pending.”

Yisroel Bronstein, a newly ordained rabbi from Brooklyn, noted that “Studying in an intimate setting gave me extraordinary personal attention from the school staff and administration. In addition, as the school is located within a community setting, I gained invaluable experience in outreach and activism through the various tutoring, mentoring and community outreach initiatives undertaken by the student body.”
