Three leaders: President Obama, Secretary Clinton and Canadian Prime Minister Harper by the end of last week expressed both in words and deeds a commitment to the elimination of Iran's nuclear program. Interestingly, the one whose action Friday will probably have the most profound influence on the future of Iran was Hillary Clinton, who has unleashed an old, aggressive enemy against the Mullahs' state. It may only be a matter of time before other Western powers will internalize Bibi's message.

Eltahawy was arrested Wednesday evening, September 26, in a New York City subway station because she insisted free speech included her right to deface an ad espousing a message with which she disagreed -- Pamela Geller's anti-Jihad ad. She also insisted her free speech right extended to spraying toxic paint on a woman, Pamela Hall, who tried to interfere with Eltahawy's efforts to deface Geller's ad. And then Eltahawy blamed Hall for interfering with her free speech rights and accused the arresting police officers of interfering with her "non-violent" protest, thereby engaging in anti-democratic activity.

In his Sunday interview with CBS 60 Minutes, President Barack Obama referred to Prime Minister Netanyahu's relentless pressure regarding the Iranian nuclear threat as "noise" that must be ignored in order for the president to be able to focus on American interests. He also referred to Israel as "one of our closest allies in the region." That's two snubs in one interview (Remember when we used to be THE closest ally?).

We reject all efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others.” But he wouldn't mention the name of the offending video. (Watch apology clip)

As demands of reader participation go, this one was pretty high. You were supposed to share with us your real hopes for the new year, in an effort to impress God with our appeals as a group and—as a group—receive better attention. There is a Jewish concept of “The king’s glory is intensified by the size of His assembly,” meaning that in approaching God, the bigger the crowd, the better. But it had to be real, it had to be sincere. Here are a few of my favorites…

Sam Bacile, whose You Tube video trailer shows the Prophet Muhammad as a skirt chaser who favors the sexual exploitation of children, says unabashedly that he was looking to convey a message, and hopes his video will help Israel by showing the "true face of Islam." The message, apparently, has been received, loud and clear, with a reaction that so far includes to the death of U.S. consulate worker in Libya and a riot in front of the U.S. Embassy in Cairo.

There is no scientific equation to determine what is hatred, but a Facebook picture of a smiling Anne Frank surrounded by the caption, "What's that burning? Oh it's my family" is an easy one. So is a Facebook picture of a baby on a scale emblazoned with a Jewish Star, where the bottom of the scale is a meat grinder with raw ground meat (presumably, a baby's) oozing out.
