Netanyahu joined Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman and IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot on Sunday in raising a glass in a toast to celebrate Israel’s 70th anniversary with the military’s general staff.

Speaking at the gathering, the prime minister referred to the Iranian foreign minister’s claims that Israel is violating international law, saying “This is the foreign minister of a country that sends armed drones into Israel and fires missiles at Saudi Arabia.

“I also heard his ‘mild’ words. There’s a huge gap between his words, and the deeds of the Revolutionary Guards, who are advancing an army against Israel with the stated goal of destroying the State of Israel.

“I’m not impressed by the words,” he added. “I rely on this forum and the Israel Defense Forces for every possibility and every scenario.

“I am offering a toast to the State of Israel, and to the IDF. L’Chaim!”
