Video: WikiLeaks’ Assange First Booking on New TV Show Is Nasrallah
Show me whom you interview first time you get a TV show and I’ll tell you who you are. WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, for instance, interviewed Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah on Tuesday, in the debut of his “The World Tomorrow” talk show on Russia’s state-funded RT cable broadcaster.
In his introduction, Assange called Nasrallah “one of the most extraordinary figures in the Middle East.”
Speaking from a “secret location in Lebanon,” flanked by the flags of Lebanon and Hezbollah, Nasrallah started with a familiar tirade about how Israel is the evilest evil in all evility.
Assange challenged Nasrallah on the image of Hezbollah as a corrupt bunch of fat cats, which the leader of said organization absolutely denied.
Assange also challenged Nasrallah on his support for the Assad regime, against the Syrian freedom fighters. Nasrallah was a bit less self assured on this point, but admitted that, basically, Assad helped him, so he helps Assad.
