Newsweek magazine quoted Pentagon officials this week saying the US will “look the other way” regarding an impending Israeli airstrike on Iranian nuclear facilities and the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists. This is despite Washington’s interest in preventing warfare in the region, according to the report.
The article alleges that Mossad Director Tamir Pardo’s was sent to Washington to determine what the consequences would be for Israel if the Jewish state bombed Iran over American objections, and that Israel has shared significant details of its plans with the US.
President Obama has consistently urged Israel to delay an attack, and wait for financial sanctions to deter Iran from creating atomic weapons.

Respectfully, this is a kindergarten chit-chat issue. The Petrodollar is going out and the dollar will no longer be backed by it position of being the exclusive currency for the purchase of oil.
Pakistan and North Korea have nuclear weapons and there is no uproar. This issue is exclusively about petrodollars and the collapse of the US. Iraq moved to euro to sell its oil and six months latter the US invaded because of WMD; Libya and others had established an African bank system that would have been the alternative to petrodollars and Libya was invaded.
In 1975 the US promised to protect the Saud’s family’s oil in Saudi Arabia, in exchange, because the Saudis are the largest OPEC member, we obtained the approval of OPEC to exclusively designate US dollars as the exclusive currency to purchase its oil.
Therefore the US dollar, that is not backed by gold, is backed as the only fiat currency with which oil, the worlds largest commodity, is purchased. When the petrodollars are no longer used, as is currently happening, the dollar will collapse, because there is nothing behind it.
The US’s sanctions against Iran has accelerated the issue because Iran is now exchanging its oil for sovereign currency and gold.
The Iranian nuclear bomb issue is a red herring, just like the WMD was in Iraq and the “freedom”of the Libyans. There will be no invasion of Iran, because of the massive devastation that would incur in the Middle East.
It makes no difference if Iran has a nuclear weapon or not. Israel’s importance to the US will vanish, when Iran has the N-bomb, because Israel’s highly lauded importance as a deterrent will no longer exist.
Petrodollars are now on the way out. As this movement increases the trillions in US securities, bonds and T-bills will unfortunately be dumped at a discount, because the dollar is no longer in demand. It’s only value is that it is the exclusive oil and trading currency. When the petrodollar is gone so goes the dollar. At 22% unemployment, crashed real estate, -0- manufacturing base and an army that is about to be cut to pieces, the result will be obvious. Iran just has to do lightweight hit and runs in the Hormuz and the ships will not go out or in. Think of cops at a freeway fender-bender, the traffic is 100 mile grid-lock.
