tell a friendOn November 26, 70 years after the rounding up and deportation of over 500 Jewish Norwegians to Auschwitz, the Norwegian Police Service issued an apology for taking part in the murder of Jews. The request for forgiveness came from Norwegian Police Chieff Odd Reidar Humlegaard.
On the same date in 1942, Norwegian police herded 532 Jewish citizens aboard the German ship SS Donau en route to Auschwitz.
This year, Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg issued a formal apology for the Norwegian government’s role in deporting Jews to Auschwitz.
Only a few dozen of the 770 Jews deported from Nazi-occupied Norway survived the war. Hitler invaded Norway on April 9, 1940 and remained in the country until May 1945.

when you ask for forgiveness that does not erase the pain these poor souls went through. When will we learn to look at our actions before we we do these horrible deeds?
Now Norway will probably vote for the approval of a Palestinian state at the UN. They won't have to use trains to transport the Jews for disposal. The terrorists of 'Palestine' will just be able to fire their rockets and missiles at them without fear of retaliation.

As a survivor from Poland, I feel strongly that the living have no right to forgive on behalf of the dead. We are not Christians who can conveniently utter a few Hail Mary's and wipe the slate clean…
Europe has given us six decades of apologies, memorials, monuments, museums and ceremonies. Yesterday, with the single exception of the Czech Republic, Europe showed its true colors once more by throwing its enthusiastic support behind organizations whose stated goal is the elimination of Jews. When the world says "Never again!", it's a hollow promise. When Israel says, "Never again!", it means NEVER AGAIN.
