California representative Henry Waxman blamed PM Netanyahu for negative press Obama sustained as a result of his refusal to rearrange his schedule to meet with the Israeli leader during the recent UN General Assembly convention in New York. Massachusetts representative Barney Frank said the fallout over the meeting indicates that “Maybe Netanyahu’s for Romney. And he’s making a mistake if he is.”

Despite the deteriorating security situation along the Egyptian-Israeli border, Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman has rejected Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi’s request to reconsider the terms of the 1979 Camp David Accords. Morsi wants a substantial increase in the number of Egyptian tanks and armored divisions to patrol what has seemingly become the lawless Sinai Peninsula.

The distance from their families and friends combined with the acclimation to their new country makes their service especially challenging. This year, however, at least for five pairs of brothers from the United States and Australia, the experience should be somewhat less difficult.
