Border Guard arresting a Ramat Migron resident last week.

On Monday an indictment was filed against two youths from the Ramat Migron outpost charged with assaulting a policeman. The two were arrested just before Shabbat last week, after, according to police, they refused to leave the outpost despite a closed military zone order effective on the site. According to police they violently resisted their removal from the site.

The month of February 2012 has broken records in the tourism industry in Israel, with 232,000 visitor arrivals, 6% more than the same month last year, and an increase of 4% compared to February 2010, which marked the previous record. Out of 232,000 arrivals, 200,000 were tourist entries, another all-time record high.

The Board of Governors of the Jewish Agency for Israel voted to provide emergency aid to the Jewish community of Greece, to help it address immediate needs in the wake of their country's terrible financial crisis. The $1 million will be spread over two years and help Greek Jewish institutions from going under.
