Palestinians Riot Outside Rachel’s Tomb in Bethlehem.

Some 50 Palestinians threw rocks and at least 18 firebombs and nine pipe bombs at Israeli troops guarding the tomb on Wednesday evening, according to the Israeli military. One soldier was injured. One pipe bomb reportedly damaged the security fence.

Earlier Wednesday, a young Israeli boy was injured by a rock thrown at the car in which he was riding near the Tekoa settlement in the West Bank.

  1. It would be ideal if their was contiguous Jewish settlement from the new Gilo area to Rachel's tomb. The gaps now are small but enough to make this major Jewish shrine insecure.

    I am not in favor, in general of settlement expansion. But E1 and this area are important enough that if there is to be expansion these should be on the list.
