Alternative History or Alternative Reality is a sub-genre of science fiction dealing with worlds in which one or more historical events unfolded not the way it did in our real world.

I had a glimpse of that when I looked at this picture from Thursday’s joint press conference of Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Jerusalem.

This particular angle obscures the Israeli flag behind Lieberman’s back, creating the illusion that he is actually associated with the Communist Chinese flag to his right.

He would have done just as well in Russia as here. Same solid hold on leadership, never mind the particulars.

Vote for Lieberman and get a say in two alternating worlds!
