The rebuilt Hurva Synagogue

It’s just a trick of the wide-angle lens, but the minaret attached to the rebuilt Hurva synagogue, in the Old City of Jerusalem’s Jewish Quarter, looks like an Israeli version of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. It’s actually straight in real life.

How it got there is a long and unpleasant story.
