We were looking for a cheerful image this morning, but one that won’t belie the assortment of bad news out there. Something that would look good but won’t give the reader the sense that we’re just escaping reality.

So we thought this image of a guy who’s down on his luck but still has enough room left in his heart to share a saucer of milk with a little friend makes us feel good about life without thinking it’s Disneyland out there.

Stay cool. Drink a lot of liquids (mostly because we believe drinking solids is next to impossible).
