The Lo-Down, on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, published this image, sent in by reader Robin Schatell, with this kid showing exactly how cold it is on that sunny, frozen day.

Your iPhone will make you miserable any time you need it.

Schatell added the comment: “Coldest day since 1896 and we’ve got the iPhone to prove it!”

And that’s before you figure out the wind chill Factor.

It’s going to get a little warmer, the weatherman is promising.

I coulda’ told you that.
