An Israeli woman writes a “thank you” note on a board set up near Jerusalem’s Central Bus Station, on Tuesday, April 29, 2014.

The boards have the sentence “I am thankful for…” written on them, with the purpose of getting passersby to complete the sentence and share what they are thankful for.

The idea is to conduct 10 days of giving thanks ahead of the Israeli Independence Day on May 6, with the purpose of creating a new Israeli tradition.
