It’s probably the combination of the early 20th century buildings, the café tables reaching practically to the pavement and blocking the sidewalk, the train tracks and the Haredi guys walking in the middle of Yaffo Street.

It’s Jerusalem in winter the way an artist like Pieter Bruegel would have painted it.
