Jerusalem Police issued a statement saying a Border Guard watch in the refugee camp Shuafat in north-eastern Jerusalem identified a minor, 14, attempting to jump the turnstile at the entrance to the camp, in order to leave in the direction of the city without going through the check post. A squad was directed to chase after him, and he was identified and stopped.

A search through the minor’s belongings revealed a concealed knife. In preliminary questioning the minor confessed that he intended to carry out a terror attack.
