Major news outlets have reported that U.S. President Trump told French President Emmanuel Macros Tuesday morning that he will withdrawal the United States from the JCPOA Iran nuclear deal – but within the hour, France denied the report, according to Reuters.

Moreover, With just a little more than an hour to go before the president was due to appear on national television to announce his decision to the American people, a senior White House official formally denied the report in a statement to Reuters as well, saying Trump did not say “those things.”

With less than an hour to go, rumors about who said what and what would happen in either case, flew thick and fast.

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Mohammed Javad Zarif warned in a statement to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency that if the United States does indeed pull out of the deal, the president “will never succeed in reaching a similar agreement.”
