Teenage gang in Brooklyn attacks Williamsburg shteibel while Jews are praying.

A young Hassidic boy was attacked this past Saturday by a gang of half a dozen hoodlums in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn just moments before the older teens proceeded to smash the window of a synagogue where Jews were inside praying.

The boy was walking along the sidewalk on Franklin Avenue when the young toughs ran up around him, and then knocked his hat off before moving on to attack the synagogue.

The gang hurled a metal pole through a glass window of the lower-floor synagogue, shattering it.

New York City Police have so far declined to label the attack as a hate crime.
