Yehoshua said that living outside Israel "is a very deep failure of the Jewish people," and lamented that immigration numbers from the United States are "minimal" and "embarrassing." He was equally acerbic regarding the large Israeli ex-patriot community.

The Groggers

News & ViewsJewish

It's not easy being a modern, Jewish singer/songwriter and refuse to utter a preachy note about anything, refuse to be a nice Jewish boy, and refuse to include a clarinet in your music. That's why The Groggers stand out – because they manage to do great punk rock that's totally and irrefutably Jewish without ever sounding like they need to get approval from some mashgiach.

He hired the Groggers, an up and coming Orthodox rock band, and traded a nose job for their hilarious Jewish video entermercial "Jewcan Sam." Now the American Society of Plastic Surgeons wants to lower the boom on the guy.

The Jewish Congressman who became the darling of the left wing of the Democratic party but not so much with his district (he served only one term), who, in 2009, defined the Republican’s idea of health care plan as, "Don’t get sick, and if you do get sick, die quickly," may require some serious health care himself. Last Saturday he ran a red light with his car, smashed into a bus and injured two people.

Ex Mossad chief Meir Dagan will appear on 60 Minutes Sunday

News & ViewsIsrael

Ex Mossad chief Meir Dagan often adds flare to his public statements. But don't let that fool you, he is a cool and reliable thinker, who undoubtedly was behind the sabotage efforts which caused Iran's nuclear program numerous mishaps and delays. But his flare and colorful speech are fodder for eager editors who misrepresent what the retired spy is actually saying. In fact, they often not only twist his words, they go as far as to invent new words for him, born by nothing more than wishful thinking and an agenda.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz with friend.

It may be only a "gotcha," but it probably reflects a reality nonetheless. In her attempt to bolster Jewish trust in President Obama's commitment to Israel's security in light of Iran's nuclear threats, Fla. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who is also the DNC Chair and a close Jewish ally of the president, betrayed some of the pressures she's under in her own circle, because, let's face it, her fellow Jews don't trust her boss. And come the Passover seder, they'll probably give her (and husband Steve) an earful...
