Kosher Tidbits from around the Web - September 3, 2007

Our theme today is great kosher food. Traveling way, way south this year? Well, if you find yourself in Oahu, Hawaii without kosher food, have no fear. Yudi's Deli, under the supervision of Chabad of Hawaii, is open daily serving sandwiches, steaks, burgers and the best kosher falafel to be found in that part of the world. Back in the eastern part of the country, the Baltimore Sun recently reviewed a kosher-dairy restaurant called Cocoaccinos and gave it top marks for its salad bar and smoothies.
Toronto's answer to great French cooking seems to be Marron Bistro. From what we have read, their amuse-bouche is amazing and their selection of fish dishes is beyond compare. Rated two stars by Toronto Life Magazine - that means very good - they are under the hashgacha of the COR. The Hillel at George Washington University in Washington DC has announced the opening of the Colonial Kosher Café where lunch, Thursday night steaks and Shabbat dinner will be available for kosher-eating students. The café will be under the strict supervision of the Rabbinical Council of Washington. And finally, if you are attending the University of Wisconsin - Madison, kosher food is now available for you as well in the Chadbourne dining hall, under the strict supervision of the Chicago Rabbinical Council.
