WHAT: South Dade Chapter of Hadassah and Alper JCC co-sponsoring author Genie Milrom. Ms. Milgrom was born in Cuba into a Roman Catholic family of Spanish ancestry. After learning her family might have Jewish roots, her search for the truth took on a deep significance. Ms. Milgrom was able to document her unbroken maternal lineage as far back as 1480 to pre-Inquisition Spain and Portugal. Her book, “My 15 Grandmothers,” was recently published.
