The Florida Region of the Zionist Organization of America was a proud cosponsor of the David Posnack Jewish Community Center and Tthe Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center’s Tu B’Shevat celebration on Sunday, January 24, at TY Park in Hollywood. The free community event included entertainment, bounce houses, a petting zoo, pony rides, a mini Tu B’Shevat seder, Israeli dancing, Israeli scout activities, arts and crafts, take-home plants, and music.

The participating organizations set up tables with various activities and information. The Florida ZOA table had educational material and supplies for attendees to write and decorate notes for Israel soldiers. In the spirit of the holiday, messages of thanks and support were composed on recycled paper. The heartfelt notes will be personally delivered to over 8,000 IDF soldiers during ZOA’s Purim Mission to Israel in March.
