The Israeli men’s international lacrosse team played an exciting showcase event on December 8 at the Miami Country Day School. The exhibition match pitted Team Israel against Florida International University. Israel defeated FIU 17 to 11.

The Israeli team was sponsored on its Miami trip by local high school lacrosse players, Jordan Karp, son of Nancy and Kobi Karp and Brandon Holtz, son of Danny and Toni Holtz. Both young men attend Miami Country Day School.

The Israeli national team allows for Jewish-American athletes to participate in competition under the flag of Israel. Historically, lacrosse has been a successful sport with Jewish athletes in the United States.
