Jewish Heritage Day, the largest annual Jewish event in South Florida, will take place on Sunday afternoon, September 6, as the Jewish community gathers for the twelfth consecutive year at Marlins Park in Miami. The Miami Marlins are scheduled to play the visiting New York Mets.

The day will feature Jewish music, delicious kosher food, and several other surprises that are sure to bring a large measure of Jewish pride to all in attendance. Both the American and Israeli national anthems will be sung during the pre-game ceremony. American and Israeli flags will be held on the field during the pre-game ceremony.

A variety of glatt kosher food will be available for purchase at Kosher Korner (near Section 1). Game time is 1:10 p.m., but fans are encouraged be in their seats by 12:45 in order not to miss any of the day’s highlights. The first 10,000 fans through the turnstiles will receive a Marcell Ozuna bobblehead, and kids 12 and under can run the bases after the game.

Tickets sold through Jewish Heritage Day Foundation will raise much-needed funds for local Jewish education programs from Miami to West Palm Beach, and include a commemorative Marlins yarmulke. Tickets for the game can be purchased on marlins.com/specialevents or www.JewishHeritageDay.org. or by calling 561-702-7663.
