Contest winner Cole Benveniste-Plitt holds winning model sukkah.

RASG Hebrew Academy, located at 2400 Pine Tree Drive in Miami Beach, held a fun-filled pre-Sukkot event on Sunday, September 20, at the main campus of the school. Hundreds of students, parents, and families joined in the celebration.

Activities included a wide assortment of arts and crafts projects, a puppet show, a skit, story time, live music, and Sukkot workshops. The snacks were delicious and included popcorn, make-your-own ice cream sundaes, cotton candy, fruit kabobs and smoothies. Students of all ages, from early childhood to high school, participated in the festivities.

The annual model sukkah contest was won for the second year in a row by second-grade student Cole Benveniste-Plitt. His mini-sukkah made use of Tinker Toys, Lego blocks, and freshly cut leaves.
