Hebrew Honor Society members have demonstrated the qualities of diligence, initiative and commitment to helping others as well as academic excellence. Selection for membership is made by a faculty council based upon student scholarship, character, leadership and service.

Candidates must have completed a minimum of three semesters of regular level high school Hebrew language and maintained an overall grade of 90 percent or better. Candidates and members must participate in extra curricular activities such as publishing, tutoring, performing or learning activities in Israel. Honorary members may be chosen on the basis of their scholarly distinction or notable contributions to the field of Hebrew culture and literature.
