RASG Hebrew Academy kicked off the Sukkot holiday with a pre-Sukkot Sunday Spectacular on Sunday, October 5. Students in early childhood, elementary, and middle school were treated to an array of hands-on projects to create sukkah decorations such as wind chimes, velvet posters, sand art, paper chains, and more. A Sukkot skit presented by Hebrew Academy high school students added to the festivities. A parent workshop was led by Mrs. Tirtza Schapiro.

Other activities included sing-a-longs, sports, puppet making, bounce houses and a model sukkah building contest which was won by first-grade student Cole Benveniste-Plitt.

Delicious refreshments included ice cream sundaes, snow cones, cotton candy, fruit, and smoothies.

The event was sponsored by the RASG PTA and brought to life by Mrs. Sara Beth Kahn, assisted by art teacher Lindsey Melnick.

The fun atmosphere was reflected by eighth grade student Noah Dobin, who said, “It was great to hang out with my friends at school on a Sunday!” His enthusiasm was echoed by all.
