Chabad of South Broward is in the final stages of completion of its Florida-Jerusalem campus. The long-awaited project has one more challenge. The facility is in need of $100,000 in security upgrades.

The South Broward headquarters provides programs for over 1,000 youngsters. They include preschool, Hebrew school, seminary, bar and bat mitzvah clubs, CTeen Programs, Camp Gan Israel, and a program for physically challenged children and teenagers, “The Friendship Circle.”

The Florida-Jerusalem campus is a highly exposed and bustling Jewish center. It is located on Hallandale Beach Boulevard, considered one of the busiest streets in America.

The construction will fortify the exterior of the building and enclose the walkway with electronic doors. The organization is asking for generous donations to complete this project in a way that will minimize any security threat.

Checks can be mailed to Chabad of South Broward, 1295 E. Hallandale Beach Blvd., Hallandale Beach, Florida 33009 or donate online at www.Chabadsouthbroward.com.
