Southern NCSY announced the appointment of Josh Geller, of Hollywood, Florida, as the new South Florida NCSY director of institutional advancement. Geller, an NCSY alumnus, will serve as an integral member of Southern NCSY development department. His focus will be to reach out to the thousands of alumni who participated in Southern NCSY as far back as the 1950s and reconnect them with the organization and its mission.

Geller graduated from Yeshiva University’s Sy Syms School of Business in 2012 with a degree in marketing. Before relocating to New York City, he lived in Parkland, Florida, where he was an active member of NCSY.

“We are on a mission now to double our presence within three years,” said Southern NCSY Executive Director Todd Cohn. “We will only be able to do that if we ramp up our lay leadership and involvement. Josh will do a terrific job at engaging our alumni in this mission.”

Rabbi Ben Gonsher, regional director of Institutional Advancement for Southern NCSY, is delighted with the appointment. “When I saw Josh’s resume and connected the dots, I knew the tremendous value he’d add to our institution,” said Gonsher. “As an NCSY alumnus, he understands our vision and will hit the ground running. He has a charisma and creativity that make him a perfect fit for the Southern NCSY.”
